THE FOUNDING STORY
Recycle It Global (RIG) was born out of a simple yet profound realisation: as our co-founders, Oscar Milverton-Gatta (CTO) and Paul Nicholls (CEO) embarked on a train journey from Plymouth to London one Monday morning, they couldn’t shake the complexities surrounding global waste processing from their minds. Over discussions, Paul and Oscar delved into the inefficiencies plaguing the current waste processing methods—high costs, significant environmental impacts, and the inability to supply the construction industry with sustainable materials meeting stringent quality standards.
Driven by a desire for change, they envisioned a global, one-stop-shop solution that not only addressed the waste crisis but also supplied sustainable products to the world’s burgeoning infrastructure needs. The goal? To develop a process that was not only cost-effective but also scalable for widespread implementation across towns and cities worldwide. They aimed to eliminate millions of unnecessary transport miles and alleviate landfill pressures in highly regulated countries, while ensuring affordability for less regulated markets.
